How to use date dependent price in Form

A product can have several prices controlled by a specific date. This might be useful when having early bird prices in a form.

There are registration forms where the price for some products can change at a specific time. Qondor supports this feature for the "Transport product" and the "Standard product".

WHEN CAN A DATE DEPENDENT PRICE BE HANDY?

  • For products where early bookings have a discounted price.

  • For products where late bookings have a higher price.

  • For products with seasonal prices.

HOW TO CREATE A DATE DEPENDENT PRICE

  1. Go to the product in Form builder and click on "Pricing". A slide-in window will appear.

  2. Insert the price for the product (if it hasn't already been added). Qondor will automatically set the "valid from" date to when you created the product. You can amend this if needed.

  3. To add another price that is valid from a specific date click "Add date dependent price".

  4. Then define the "valid from" date and enter the price.

πŸ’‘Good to know:

  • There is no limitation on how many date dependent prices a product can have.

  • The valid from date can be changed to a date prior to the date the product was created. This is to support "early-bird" pricing.

WHEN DOES THE PRICE CHANGE OCCUR?

The automatic price change always occurs at midnight of the "valid from" date.

Here is an example (as shown in the screenshot in the section above):

Early bird Conference attendance 224 EUR valid from 29th August
Conference attendance 252 EUR valid from 5th September

The night between 4th and 5th September at 00:00 the price will change automatically from 224 EUR to 252 EUR.

CAN A CREATED DATE DEPENDENT PRICE BE CHANGED AT A LATER TIME?

Yes, a set price can be changed. Please note that the changed price will be valid for new bookings only. Existing bookings will maintain the price they had when the booking was created and confirmed.
