As a Project Manager, flexibility in managing prices with or without VAT is crucial for efficient operations and accurate pricing. Qondor enables you to seamlessly work with both VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive prices, catering to diverse market requirements and improving overall efficiency.
We recommend Superusers ensure the following settings are updated in Qondor, in order to maintain a standardised workflow for Project managers:
Set an Office default view for the filter (incl. or excl. VAT) in Office settings.
Update Project templates with the appropriate VAT default view.
📍The "Excluding VAT" mode will be the default view for all users in both cases upon the release of this new feature.
✔️Note, Project managers have the flexibility to override this setting in a project.

❗ When adding VAT articles, ensure that prices are entered correctly according to the VAT filter.
Example: If your view is set to "INC", prices you add should include VAT.
BEST PRACTICES
Tailor your VAT settings
You can configure your default pricing view in Offer Admin to display as VAT-inclusive or VAT-exclusive. This can be configured either at an Office level by a Super or Office admin, or for individual offers within specific projects by Project managers. Aligning these settings with your business needs helps ensure consistency across all your projects.
Setting VAT preferences at an Office level:
Head to Office Settings --> Customer Web tab --> scroll down to Offer admin settings. This will become the default setting for all new projects under the selected office.
Setting VAT preferences for individual Offers:
To configure default VAT preferences for specific Offers, Project managers can change the setting in the project.Go to Project Settings --> Project Info tab, scroll down to the bottom of the page to Offer admin and update the setting. This allows flexibility for projects with unique requirements.
💡 Examples of when to use INC or EX VAT.
If you always work with prices INC VAT from supplier to customer, making INC VAT your default view makes adding prices to your offer quicker.
If you normally work with prices EX VAT but occasionally receive VAT-inclusive figures, keeping your default view set to EX VAT is the recommended setup.
With our flexible filters, you can quickly switch views if needed, and add prices with VAT.
📍This setting is separate from the Offer Setting that handles how prices are shown to your customer in the Customer Web (offer).
Optimise your Project Templates
If you manage multiple projects with varying VAT requirements, you can create and use Project Templates specifically tailored for VAT-inclusive or VAT-exclusive pricing. This saves time and reduces errors when handling diverse market needs.
