OVERVIEW
If your customer's legally registered name is different from their everyday business name, this update ensures your invoices still meet accounting and auditing standards - without making life harder for your project managers. We know how stressful it can be when an invoice is rejected for missing legal details. The Legal name field helps you stay compliant and avoid delays, while still making it quick and easy to find the right customer.
THE LEGAL NAME FIELD
A Legal name field is available on the customer card.
Location: Appears under Customer name.
Purpose: If filled in, the Legal name appears on invoices and invoice-related pages. If not, Qondor uses the regular Customer name instead.
Placeholder: If left empty, Customer name is shown as the placeholder.

Optional Legal name column is included in the import template.
Merge tags
Merge tags [
Customer.legalName] and [Invoice.Company] display the Legal name.If the Legal name is empty, Qondor falls back to the Customer name.
📌 Pro tip: Use the new merge tag in your templates to ensure the correct legal entity always appears.
Search
When selecting a customer in search components, the Legal name appears alongside other key fields like Customer number and External reference. You can search by Legal name in:
Customer list
Quick search
Project search
Invoice customer search modals
Invoices
If a Legal name is set, it appears as the company name on invoices and PDFs.
