WHAT IS A CATEGORY?
This refers to the main area of activity you're reporting on. In Sustainability Reporting in Qondor, you can choose either:
Transportation – for travel-related emissions like flights, trains, cars and buses.
Accommodation & venue – for overnight stays, hotels and event or meeting venues.
Food & beverage – for meals, catering and drinks served at the event.
Other – for any additional emissions-related activity that doesn’t fit into the above categories (e.g. printed materials, giveaways, event waste).
WHAT IS A TYPE?
When adding items defined with the Category: Transportation or Accommodation & venue, you’ll be asked to select the "Type".
"Type" describes the specific method or option used.
For example:
If you choose "Transportation", you will need to define the type of transportation. Options include: Bus, Car, Ferry, Flight or Train.
If you choose "Accommodation & venue", you will need to define the type. Select from: General Accommodation, Hotel, Venue.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Both fields are mandatory when adding items to your report, as this level of detail is essential for accurate emissions reporting.
Selecting the correct category and type ensures emissions are calculated using the most accurate method for each activity.
The more detail, the better the report.
