A prerequisite to using Product substeps is knowledge of creating products in Form Builder.

WHAT IS A PRODUCT SUBSTEP

A product substep, or 'a step within a step', allows you to group products together on a product step. You can add any product, choose between or text element to a substep. Just like on a product step, you're able to define:

  • A heading

  • A main text

  • Mandatory product booking

HOW TO ADD A PRODUCT SUBSTEP

  1. Click the Substep icon in Form builder, type in a heading, and save:

2. Create your products. Then click re-order to drag and drop them into the product substep:

USE CASES FOR PRODUCT SUBSTEPS

  • When you need to sell the same type of ticket but with different prices, locations, allotment but the description is the same. For example, entry to a zoo or a concert. Substeps are a good alternative to using separate standard products in these scenarios to save space on the form step and present products together.

  • Product substeps can be used in place of choose between products, where for example a booker needs to be able to book more than one product. By using substeps the descriptions are connected to the product choice.

HOW IT LOOKS FOR THE BOOKER

This way you can group multiple sets of individual products together on the same step.

Here's an example below:

📌Note: Product images and descriptions are still shown for all products, so if you add these make sure you configure these as you wish to have them presented in the Form.
