Effective 1 December, 2023: All forms which had the *old* Form builder and design have been auto-updated to the Improved Form Builder & Design! 🎉

If you have any live (published) forms created before 15 June, 2023 then we recommend going through the section: What to consider after the update.

WHAT TO CONSIDER AFTER THE UPDATE

1. Review all product names

The new form experience now offers one name field in order to have one name for each form product. This is to avoid repeating texts, make options more understandable for the booker and provide an easier form building experience.

◻️ What to check: If you have manually typed a different heading, product name, and the 'Name on form' you will need to amend these after activating the update. For what to do, see which scenario below your form's product names fall into.

📌Scenario 1: Only text was entered in the heading field. This will remain unchanged.

Before Form product screenshot:

What to do: Nothing to change here, if you are happy with keeping the Product name text, for example, "Conference attendance".

📌Scenario 2: If the product name was overridden, the overridden text will be kept as the heading.

What to do: Nothing to change here, if you are happy with keeping the "heading" text (which overrides "conference attendance").

📌 Scenario 3: The Project manager has overridden and hidden the heading. The Product name, e.g. "Conference attendance", would be the text shown in the Form.

After Form product screenshot:

What to do: For products where the heading is hidden, you will need to change the Heading to the product name "Conference attendance" - if that is what is intended.

📌 Scenario 4: "Name on form" in the previous Form config tab has been set. This is shown in the shopping cart. This will be confusing for bookers.

What to do:

  1. Go to MORE

  2. Delete “Name on form”

  3. Click OK

📌Scenario 5:

The Product name is overridden with the Heading and "Name on Form" is set.

Before Forms screenshot:

What to do:

  1. Go to MORE

  2. Delete “Product name”

  3. Replace “Name of product” with heading name

  4. Delete “Name on form"

  5. Click OK

*New*

"Add" is displayed by default to prompt the booker to add the product to their shopping cart. This text, and select quantity, and yes/no answers, are all defined by the project participant web language (defined in Project settings). For example, in Norwegian, these would be "Legg til".

However, you can override the default text and enter your own text.

See the gif below for how to do this and how it looks on the participant web (for the booker) 👇

2. Review the general product design in the form

For better readability, to easily view what's been selected, and to make the registration process easier for bookers to understand - we have updated the form design on the participant web. This means adjustments such as a larger font and new styling might have an effect on your layout.

◻️ What to check:

  1. Check any live forms by opening the form in incognito mode to ensure the presentation of information (texts) and the look of the form (images, font sizes, etc.) on all product types are displayed as intended.

  2. Make any necessary adjustments in the new Form builder.

3. Review any "choose between product" designs

The Choose between product type has received a major update. The improvements ensure that the choices are displayed clearly to the booker or participant and they can clearly identify what they have selected.

  • Where the booker selects to add the product to their cart has moved.

  • A larger font has replaced the old font for improved readability.

  • The product design (image and description) is now presented together with the call to action ("add") to select a product.

❕If your form contains any "choose between products", we recommend checking how these products are displayed and making any necessary adjustments.

◻️What to check:

  • Verify that any texts guiding the booker make sense with the new layout so that the booker understands how to select the products.

  • If you have included images and descriptions ensure that these are displayed as intended.
