Project Managers can enter text descriptions throughout Qondor and format these using a 'html editor', so information can be presented to suit the message and context. The text editor looks like this:

USEFUL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS

  • Shift+Enter creates a single line space.

  • Enter creates a paragraph (double line space).

  • Ctrl + C to copy text

  • Ctrl + Shift + V to paste content from the clipboard as plain text (Removes formatting from the text when pasted)

  • Ctrl + V to paste content from the clipboard

  • Ctrl + Z to undo your latest action

  • Ctrl + Y to redo your latest action

  • Esc to exit fullscreen mode

  • Ctrl + B to make texts bold

  • Ctrl + I to make texts italic

  • Ctrl + K to add a link

GENERAL TIPS

  • To change font size, highlight the paragraph --> click the first dropdown in the toolbar --> select your preferred size

  • For a full view, click the Full screen icon on the main menu.

  • To add bullet lists, numbered lists, change font size or alignment (left, center, right) on the text, make sure to separate the section you want to format from the others with Enter, not Shift+Enter as this will format everything within the paragraph.

  • To add a link, click the link 🔗icon.

See an example below of pasting text from Word and formatting headings. ⬇️

A context toolbar appears when highlighting text. This allows you to quickly make the text Bold, Italic, Underlined or add a Link over the text. ⬇️

If you add a link to text you can choose whether it should be opened in the current window or a new window. Current window is selected by default. ⬇️

Add emojis to make your text and message stand out. Emojis effectively convey messages and capture attention. Use emojis to establish a visual and emotional connection with your audience, making messages more engaging and relatable.

💡PRO TIP: Use emojis purposefully and keep emojis to a minimum to effectively convey your message without cluttering your text.

To add emojis: Right click --> click Emoji 👇

🔤Use the spell checker to highlight any typos or spelling mistakes in your text!

To enable the spell checker: Right click --> Spell check --> click Basic or Enhanced spell check. Click anywhere and the spell checker will underline any mistakes in red.👇

ADD TEXT FROM EXTERNAL SOURCES

You can add text from external sources like a web page or a word document by using copy + paste (ctrl + V). Qondor will strip the original formatting so you don't have to worry about the font type and size.

📌Occasionally, the original text you paste may include so much heavy formatting that Qondor cannot strip it all. In these cases you can either:

  1. Copy your text and click Ctrl + shift + V in the textbox.

  2. or Right click -> select Paste as text to strip the formatting.

After adding the external text, you may want to format it. Remember to create paragraphs for the sections you want to change the font size, alignment or add bullet/numbered list on, to avoid all text being formatted.

ADD TABLES TO NEATLY PRESENT INFORMATION

By adding tables, project managers can display information in a tidier format so it is easier to read. Here is how to add a table:

  1. Place the mouse marker where you want to insert the table.

  2. Click the Table icon -> hover over table to select number of columns and rows. These can be deleted later or more can be added.

  3. Type in or copy text / information.

  4. An editing menu appears when working with tables. Here you can delete the table, add or delete rows and columns.

❕ Make sure you don't manually adjust the table size as the information in the table will not be presented neatly on all devices if you do so. Follow Qondor's automatic adjustment, and the table information will be responsive on all devices.

💡 TIP: Add column header names in the top row and then highlight the row and click B to make headings bold for a cleaner look.

🎨 To add colour to your table click the table icon and Table properties from the dropdown. Next, select Advanced to bring up the option to add a border colour, background colour and change the border style.
